Judging people from the clothes they wear is very common, especially among students. Is it a right thing to do? I reckon there are two sides to this question.
On one hand, clothes are the first thing we notice about a person, so it is natural to judge people from their appearance. Moreover, clothes show the person’s taste and general understanding. For example, if you see a man in a funeral wearing a smart suit and white sneakers. What do you tthink of him?
On the other hand, these days’ clothes, especially stylish ones, are extremely expensive. It is impossible to keep up with the latest fashions. Furthermore, the opinion you made about a person from his clothes can be far from true. What if he/she just were in a bad mood?
To sum up, I reckon that looks are essential, because it is the first thing we notice about person, but it cannot reflect personality.
