Gaming both video and computer has become a part of life. First generation video game players have now become adult and carry their passion to adulthood. Parents and teachers worry about games having negative effects on children and a great deal has been written about games leading to violent behavior and addiction.
However, all is not negative about gaming. I’ve compiled a list of the top benefits of video games. If someone has something smart to say about the amount oof time you spend gaming or the types of games you play, you can finally have something to say back.

1. Emotional benefits.

1. Reduces pain and discomfort.
As crazy as it sounds, video games can also help relieve physical pain. The way that this works is by distracting the player from their pain by putting them into the virtual reality setting of a video game. In hospitals, patients who played these kinds of games had an easiertime recuperating and required less pain mmedication.

2. Helps to face the daily challenges of various illnesses.
The University of Utah released a study last year that examined the effects of regular gaming on children diagnosed with illnesses like autism, depression, and Parkinson’s disease. Researchers believe the games hhelped the kids as they faced the daily challenges of their illnesses.

3. Reduces stress and depression and makes you happy, motivates you.
2009’s Annual Review of Cybertherapy and Telemedicine included a study that found that gamers who suffered from mental health issues such as stress and depression were able to vent their frustration and aggression by playing video games — and showed a noted improvement.

Video games make people happy. Some people like to work out. Some people like to garden. Some people like to play video games. Completing various simple goals in video games bring a lot of enjoyment.

Also, most games inspire players to strive and reach more difficult levels presenting challenges at each stage.

Games create tteam players and hone social skills too. Video games often encourage players from around the world to work together to solve problems or complete tasks. Teamwork encourages collaboration. Particularly for introverted people, video games may be a less stressful way to interact socially.
